Application
Apply through the Social Security Administration online, by phone, or at a local office. Automatic enrolment applies to some beneficiaries.
Restrictions
Limits and covered costs change each year. Applies to Medicare Part D prescription drug costs only. Applying for Extra Help does not itself enrol you in a Part D plan, which is needed to use the assistance.
